Math: Yabba dabba doo! We sang the circumference of a circle to the tune of "Meet the Flintstones." Glad I had the help of some knowing parents on this one since most of our kids were unfamiliar with the family from Bedrock. ;)
Geography: No song for South Central Asia geography this week but we noted how Laos (pronounced "Louse") is shaped like a palm tree and underneath the "shade" of that palm tree is an elephant, which is Thailand, and many people go to Thailand and ride elephants. The neighbor to the southeast of Thailand is Cambodia, and North and South Vietnam form an "S" shape that "hugs" the other countries mentioned.

History Sentence: We noted the similarities and differences between this week's history sentence (The Vietnam War) and last week's (The Korean War). Be careful not to get confused between these very similar history sentences! We sang the history song from the cd several times, erasing a portion from the whiteboard as we went along. I've got to brag on you parents-- most if not all of our kids are already coming to class knowing the week's history sentence-- super!
Science: Second Law of Thermodynamics. Song with hand motions.
